I've got some big, important news to share with our player community. From July 1st 2026, cash prizes will no longer be a part of PortalOne. I know that will be disappointing to many of you, especially since prizes have always been a meaningful part of your PortalOne experience. I want to be honest about the reason why. Back when my brother Bård Anders and I founded PortalOne, we imagined a future with a whole new kind of entertainment: hybrid games, where games and shows come together in an experience unlike anything anyone had ever seen before. We dreamed of PortalOne being a place where friends and family from all around the world could gather to experience the joy of hybrid games together. Prizes have been part of PortalOne from the very beginning, and offering prizes has personally brought me real joy. Hearing what your winnings have meant to you and your families, and seeing the difference they have made to your lives, is a feeling I will never forget. Thank you for sharing your stories with us. But somewhere along the way, it seemed that as we built PortalOne, prizes became front and centre of the experience. The joy of the game itself started to come in second. We now recognize a need to re-centre the experience and build on what it was always meant to be about: fun. For us, saying goodbye to prizes is all about bringing you the true magic of hybrid games that we believe in. No distractions. Just an experience so fun that out of everywhere you could spend your time, you choose to spend it with us. This is the vision that we set out to achieve. Trust me when I say: building a startup comes with all kinds of unexpected changes and challenges. This isn't a decision that we, as founders, have taken lightly. For me, the startup journey has always been about who's alongside you for it. And as we look forward, in this next phase, I'd love for as many of you as possible to be there with us. We're pouring our energy into reimagining what your PortalOne experience should be: built around joy, mastery, shared moments, and a place to belong. We really do think the PortalOne you'll be playing in the coming months is one you'll be glad you stuck around for. There will be a few adjustments coming this week as we enter a transitional period until the new version is ready.
